Beneath the surface, the construction builds in sequence: British fleece wool for resilience and moisture regulation, then the horsetail to resist compression over time, followed by Real Shetland Wool blended with cashmere for a finer, softer transition that moderates temperature. A core blend of Real Shetland Wool and organic cotton adds body and absorptive capacity, while a two-layer hand-nested vanadium steel calico pocket spring system (3,296 springs in King) responds independently to weight and movement. The border is reinforced with coir and wool, four rows of hand side-stitching to extend the usable surface to the edge, and hand tufting with woollen tufts and twine ensures a stable, consistent depth at every tuft point.
